WHO influenced UNICEF to be the mouthpiece of TPLF.?

This time around is becoming too terrible! It is highly horrifying that this world is being immersed in an ocean of lies. And it is naturally true that lying is contagious. That is why even the Ferejis (the well known term to call white people in Ethiopia) are also infected by this chronic disease of TPLF, LYING. Tigray People’s Liberation Front is fond of lying; I think, they can’t survive without lying. It’s a disease.

My title consists of two sentences with unusually used double punctuation marks.

  1. Who influenced UNICEF to be the mouthpiece of TPLF?
  2. WHO influenced UNICEF to be the mouthpiece of TPLF.

I heard this morning that the head of UNICEF witnessed the starvation of 2.3 million infants in Tigray. Though I beautifully understand the purposive lies and exaggeration in some statistical data of this planet, especially in the so called third world or developing countries, it is totally crazy to declare that 2.3 million infants are starved, or whatever has happened against these kids, in Tigray I know very well. In case my knowledge about infants is correct, their age is between 0 and seven. Imagine that the number of kids plus the number of their fathers plus the number of their mothers equals 6.9 million. Go ahead with some calculations; think of the siblings of these kids whose ages are over seven, the number of people who are old and can’t bear children, the number of people who are celibate, sterile, sex-phobic, nuns, monks, etc. … If we add all these and other variables in this equation, the entire population of Tigray would be nearly 15 or 20 million in my modest estimation. When we lie, let’s try to have some limits.

What is this UNICEF doing? Whose instrument is it? It is shame! Is it a tool of terrorists?

As I mentioned earlier, I know the population of Tigray. It is about six million. The majority of this population lives out of Tigray, either in the rest of Ethiopia or abroad. No Tigrian is pleased to live in Tigray especially in the heydays of TPLF. Ethiopia was their PLC. So, every Tigrian, unless it is his/her choice to live in that region, they were free to be omnipresent and omnipotent. I was there some years back. You can visit the rural areas of this region even now; houses are empty, most of the small towns are deserted, as a result the region seems abandoned by its former residents. In one of my articles written some years back, I said the population of Tigray in Tigray could be around two million and as a matter of coincidence, one former member of TPLF, namely Riste Tesfay, estimated the residents of this region to be two million.

Therefore, where did UNICEF get this huge number of infants? Where is their common sense? Where is their conscience? For what purpose did they lie this much? It is so enigmatic, really.

My guess is this: the head of WHO (World Health Organization) might have deluded the head of UNICEF in his campaign to save TPLF from the wrath of Ethiopians. This must be the onliest reason the UNICEF has got itself in this unfathomably bottomless scandal. I was shocked when I heard the “news”.

Just a bonus: Ministers were reporting the accomplishment of their respective annual plans in an assembly during Dergue. Understandably, the chairperson was Mengistu Hailemariam and people by then believed that he becomes happy when ministers tell popped up statistics. The turn to give a report came to the mike of the Minister of Agriculture. He started to report the total area of arable lands in the country. From all the then 14 provinces, the Minister reported that Ethiopia has an aggregate arable land of over 1.2 million square kilo meters. The assembly exploded into laughter, because the size of the arable land was more than that of the size of the country’s total area. This Minister and Henrietta Fore are identical twins, in case a he and a she can fit this kind of fraternity. Such nature of people always intrigues me.

Lying is ugly; lying is a sin; lying is a sign of littleness used to fill the gap created by poor psychology; hence, please let’s all abandon this despicable behavior.

  1. Sorry but totally lost about the main point of the person who wrote this, but as a child development professional I feel obliged to correct some basic facts:

The term “infant” is typically applied to young children under one year of age; however, definitions may vary and may include children up to two years of age. When a human child learns to walk, the term “toddler” may be used instead.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) , kids between the ages of 1 and 3 are considered toddlers. If your baby has celebrated their first birthday, they’ve automatically been promoted to toddlerhood, according to some.

    Preschoolers (3-5 years of age)

Above that is a grown up kid.

So it’s important for the all-knowing political operators to do their homework before writing and if necessary consult and seek educated advise in areas they are not experts in or have no knowledge in order to avoid this type of very embarrassing errors that raises questions about the validity of their entire argument.

  2. The following would suffice if Dr. Haimanot had a good will of correcting people. Erring is human as forgiving is divine, according to the saying.
“The term “infant” is typically applied to young children under one year of age; however, definitions may vary and may include children up to two years of age. When a human child learns to walk, the term “toddler” may be used instead.”

My old knowledge might have caused me to err. But this age controversy is not my main point to discuss in my short piece of writing and unless the person has any other grudge upon my point of discussion, this mere word of “infant” couldn’t be a reason for such controversy and the accompanying insult which is not didactic at all.
If a person is not happy with what they are reading, or if they don’t understand it, be it intentionally or unintentionally, the best way to get rid of that script is not insulting the writer, rather, it would be advisable to quit the reading. Displaying one’s knowledge and expertise in an unfair manner is not a sign of civility either.
We can learn much from what the doctor has written as comment here above. The first sentence of his or her comment itself speaks much. It depicts the behavior of perhaps the current generation of Ethiopia, if at all s/he claims to be so. Here to I hope I am not ‘repeating’ to show the all-knowing nature of poor writers like me.
BTW, in my old perception, ages were labelled as 0 to 7, 8 to 12, 13 to 17, etc. and they were given different categorical names such as infant, teenage, adolescent, … That might have caused me to make this “gigantic” mistake that may ‘explode this planet and change it into pieces’..
People’s characteristics vary from one to another. Some people focus on the plate, not on the food, on the form, not on the content, on the language, not on the content, on the divorce, not on the marriage, on the silly, not on the serious…. It depends upon the choice of individuals.

  3. One correction to my comment here above: Here too, I hope I am not ‘repeating’ to show the all-knowing nature of poor writers like me.

  4. My reply to the comment given above is not yet moderated or rejected? I believe I have the right to defend myself if I think I am or my idea is mistreated or misunderstood by anybody.

  5. Oh! Very sorry for my comment about the moderation of my reply earlier. As soon as I sent this reservation, it appeared. Perhaps it was delayed or some technical problem might have covered it from being shown. Sorry anyhow again for my haste.

  6. Yinegal Belachew
Your idea is totally wrong. I just assumed you came from main street of small city to write about Tigrean population without any statistical evidence. Because you said you were visited some places on the main road; however Tigrai has more than 55,000 square kilometers and the population is more than 8 million now. In addition, you said majority of Tigreans are living outside of Tigray, this is also biased judgment that comes from narrow and illiterate mind. Sorry to say that “you might be among the sons of old dictator regimes of Ethiopia” who lost their omnipotent resources. You don’t have a moral and humanity stand to criticize UNICEF. There are few people spreading false information around the world like you, but your comment is exceptionally shameful. Shame on you!!!
