We got to admit something is horribly wrong with some Ethiopians using their PhD title bullying their agenda of sustaining ethnic tyranny of their liking. Call it self-serving, over inflated ego or simply absence of ethic or professional integrity they are increasingly showing their true color siding with tyranny of their liking against the people of Ethiopia when the going got tough.
The fake factory milled and the two weeks container Woyane’s PhDs aside; the real PhDs are losing their mind as much as their fake counterparts.
It reminded me the famous comedian- Artist Girum Zenebe’s show I attended not long ago. He said he opened a clinic አያዩ ልዩ ክሊኒክ to treat people with all kind of character flaws. Among his clinic’s service are የተጣመመ ሀሳብ እናቃናለን … ‘ጭንቅላት አጥበን እንተኩሳለን’ loosely translated ‘we straighten twisted minds and wash and iron minds’. He is so right about it I can’t tell you how many people I knew came in my mind to take them to the emergency room of the clinic right away.
Quite honestly—reading some of the bizarre statements and writings I read from our learned men and women we surly need the clinic’s service badly.
The latest writing that got me thinking about the clinic was Professor Tedros Kiros article “In Praise of Ethiopian revolutionary Ethiopianity and modernity” posted on some websites they need help too.
Associate Professor of Music and Liberal Art at Berklee College in Boston and Philosopher and novelist according to his profile writing about revolutionary Ethioianity and modernity was more a music to my ears than substance.
Since I don’t know the person nor read any of his other articles or books, I will limit my comment on the article and the claim made. But, I am not sure if he is singing revolutionary music like; ‘Ethiopia Tekdim’ under the self-professed non Ethiopian TPLF tyranny. But, I can see the man have no clue about revolution, modernity, statistics, economics or democracy, but I can’t say the same about his music knowledge – classic, “Kumbaya, disco or rap I have no clue about.
His article started with a bizarre statement you would expected form a common cadre of the regime not a Professor of Music and Liberal Art in a Western college,
“Gone are the days when descending from Ethiopian Airlines one had to look down at Shanty towns, when famished golden grass in spite of the golden glitter looked miserable, when paved roads where a rarity, when donkeys and dogs fought for visibility, when certain Ethiopians had to change their names to be accepted as part of Ethiopian normalcy, when there were only Two Universities for the entire nation and, when Tigrean and Eritrean students were systematically denied entry to the two universities and entitlements of all kinds had to be preserved for the elite of the Amharas, when Ethiopians were being forced to worship Haile Selassie, a human emperor”
Since I am not learned person as the professor, I am assuming he is trying to show us his poetic ability how he teaches his students. But, the way I saw it; he, with one paragraph summarized everything he had in his chaotic mind that has been eating him in the last forty years as Woyane thought him.
He started equating modernity with him looking down at the high-rise buildings and paved roads from descending plane in unnamed city of Ethiopia. To add humor to his story telling he inserted the disappearing donkeys and dogs that were fighting for popularity contest no longer exist to reinforce his narratives of modernity and went straight to his poison narrative he wrote the article for when he said ‘when certain Ethiopians had to change their names to be accepted as part of Ethiopian normalcy’.
It is not clear how he can see donkeys and dogs from a descending plane but, failed to name the ‘certain Ethiopians’ he is referring to change their name to be accepted or whether he was referring to say he changed his name to be accepted. But, he didn’t wait to revile it in the same paragraph when he said ‘when Tigrean and Eritrean students were systematically denied entry to the Two Universities’ and ‘entitlements of all kinds had to be preserved for the elite of the Amharas’ again failing to name the entitlement. Here, I am not sure whether he is reaching out to Eritreans to kiss and make up or he is saying we are one-and-the-same clan and should bond together against Amharas. But, I am puzzled whether to call him Professor Tedros Kiros or Chaos to figure out the self-inflected chaos in his mind. The last professor I encountered in the same dilemma was Prof. Tecola Hagos — going all over the map to do the same thing Prof. Chaos was doing not sure of to ask if he was Tecola or Teculla.
The man appears to have a serious mental issue. Regardless, if there are only two universities for a population of 25 million population with a combined student body of less than few thousands at a time and if ‘Tigrians and Eritreans with a combined population of 10% of Ethiopians population were deprived to get in, how he came up being systematically denied entry out of a few thousands students is something you wouldn’t expect from a Professor Americans should trust to educate their children. According to the small college he teaches the have over 4000 student twice more than the two universities combined. But, what do I know when the man knows it all.
According the Professor, the victims of education that privileged Amharas against Tigreans and Eritreans and contradicted himself– saying there are only two universities in the whole nation. But, I didn’t know there was Eritrean ethnic group in TPLF’s manifesto when it suites his Woyane narratives. My feeling is; he is trying to reach out for our people in the former province and the present nation of Eritrea to tell them ‘we are the same clans across the divided border we can incorporate in Tigry killil to create the empire his beloved Woyane implanted in his delusional mind? Could it also be the Professor flanked the highly competitive entrance exam of the period and blame it on the Amharas? Could it also possible be the thieves and the killers of Woyane regime are Amharas led by Berket Simon? Who knows how a delusional mind works?
Again, in the same paragraph he said “entitlements of all kinds had to be preserved for the elite of the Amharas, when Ethiopians were being forced to worship Haile Selassie, a human emperor”.
Here I kind of feel I am responding to a child than a professor. I even thought someone is using his name to write a ridiculous article. I wish I am right but, since he is not a child not to mention he is a Professor he gave me no choice but to say what I have to say. The King of Kings and the Lion of Judah is as Ethiopian as ijera and Kittfo live with it. If you hate him so much you should say the same about King Yohannes of Tigre, King Abba Jifar II of Jimma, King Tona of Walayta, king Kumsa Mereda of Wolega, King Tekle Haymanot Tessemma of Gojjam and the rest. If you feel you were deprived by the ruling kings, tough luck that is what kings do to their subjects and live with it and fight for democracy than apologize for kingdom wannabe treacherous Woyane. It shows desperation to sustain a self-professed Tigre mafias’ privilege.
The first paragraph is enough to show why I question if the Professor is Tedros Kiros or Tedros Chaos but, let me add one more paragraph and save you from reading his boring tantrum to make the dead Woyane by its own admission better than what it really is.
He went on;
“Beginnings are not ends. They are merely potentialities, which await actualities by the vibrant participation of new national consciousness forged by the activities of Ethiopians who have voted the regime in power to stay in power provided that in order to stay in power, it must mend its ways, not by shrinking political space but confidently expanding it and allowing genuine participation of oppositions who are guided by the people’s agenda, which is the eradication of poverty, the control of corruption, the guarantee of living wages and the birth of a new moral economy-mediated by a developmental state.”
The Assistance Professor of Music and Liberal Art at Berklee College in Boston Tedros Chaos claim the people of Ethiopia voted Woyane by 100% “by the vibrant participation of new national consciousness forged by the activities of Ethiopians who have voted the regime in power to stay in power”, and went on to advice “in order to stay in power, it must mend its ways, not by shrinking political space but confidently expanding it and allowing genuine participation of oppositions who are guided by the people agenda” and went on to tell us he knows what the people’s agenda may be; “which is the eradication of poverty, control of corruption, the guarantee of a new moral economy-mediated by a developmental state”
One new thing I learn in developmental state tantrum is a new theory of ‘moral economy’. I haven’t heard it before except in religious setting of charity. It sounds a new theory of mixing religion and economy to milk some mile to preserve Woyane rule is in the making. But again, it looks like it came out of the Professor’s philosophy of teaching music as he described it on his profile of the college’s website speaking about his students;
“I try to argue that they can become better musicians if they become philosophically trained. They will become sensitive to aesthetics in their lives, to the role that art plays in their lives. They will become sensitive to ethics, which means that they will have to make conscious, vigilant, and careful analysis of why they do music. Do they do it merely because they could generate money, or do they do it to train the public? The courses that they take from me add purpose and value.”
This is serious philosophy stuff. I figured; the out of control statement of Professor Tedros Chaos Verses Professor Tedros Kiros are drastically different as many like him do as I warned you at the beginning of my write up. Therefore, I decided to share his article to his colleagues at the college he teaches so that they know there is Tedos Kiros they think they know and Tedros Chaos they hardly know existed.
Why the ‘sensitive to ethics’ and purpose and value he teaches his students are out the window when it comes to our unfortunate people he left behind and impose a treacherous Woyane on them is not known but, I am sorry to tell I think lots of PhDs (real or fake) got away with ‘murder’ and no one is there to stop them. I believe that is the biggest moral crises we face. As the Professor himself said it; the purpose and value he teaches the students is reduced “merely because they generate money” to use his own word.
Therefore, he has double philosophy; one for his student here in the good old USA and another for his people in the old good Ethiopia. That, my friend; is not ethics nor purpose and value by any definition, but opportunism of a primitive tribal order. But, again what do I know I am not a Professor?
If you ask me; stay away from anyone that philosophize there is a cow in the sky that you will see the milk soon under Woyane.
Let me indulge myself and become a visiting professor for a few minutes in professor’s class and present his article to the students and ask them to evaluate it and ask the professor how he came up to defend Woyane? I will beat anyone he will run as fast as rabbit that sensed danger.
Again, if you think about it, the entire Woyane’s establishment was founded faking philosophy, identity, credibility, nationality, ethnicity, integrity, ideology, morality to the name a few. Look even closer, fake Media, fake civic society, fake development, fake diploma, fake growth, and fake money and fake election and now fake Ethiopianity. By the way, what is Ethiopianity? Could it be the new Ethnic Federalism Woyane wanted to hide behind to survive?
Our people say ‘ግርግር ለሌባ ያመቻል’ and they are right as always. And, I assure you and swear by my beloved people of Ethiopia; Woyane’s one-and-only survival is depends creating’ ግርግር’ and, if you are attentive to follow the fake Medias that is what is sustaining the dead regime walking. If you don’t believe me I am going to put PhD title behind my name (of course fake one) and a fake online Media so you can believe me?
If you ask me, fighting fake regime requires a different approach. That is; to focus on the fakers with laser precisions to put them out of their misery. That my people, ‘you can take to the Bank’ as they saying goes..
Finally, in the wisdom of my people I highly respect and in the spirit of Ethiopiawinet, I advise the Professor one thing and one thing only. Ethiopians aren’t pushovers your second hand Philosophy would impress or your salvage moral economy will feed. If that was the case; we would be singing Hamlet and eating omelet instead of singing Hagre Ethiopia and eating ferfer, kitfo and Ambasha. That said; I advise you to come to your senses and demand Woyane to surrender for democratic rule. No dog and donkeys fighting, stolen concert rising, paved road to China riding, moral economy feeding and developmental racketeering screaming is going to change that reality.
I say that not because you would get it in your chaotic mind but, to maintain my people’s tradition; ምከረው ምከረው አልያ መከራ ይምከረው’’. As our people predicted, your tantrum shows you are confused enough not to tell the difference between Woyane and Ethiopians; a tragedy indeed.
The article is dedicated to AndargacheTsege and family. As I said before; “Woyane Eat the forbidden Fruit’ and ignited a fire. Be assured my friend; we are all you as you are us. Isn’t that what Ethiopiawinet is all about.
Warning: Provoking Ethiopians to preserve Woyane is absently forbidden. Do it at your own risk
