Can you take urgent action now to save my partner Andy?

Dear friends,
It has now been 484 days since Andy Tsege, my partner and the father of my three kids, was abducted and rendered to Ethiopia to be tortured. Sadly, we are no closer to seeing his release.
andargachew Tisge
Andy is a British citizen and he has spent 16 months in incommunicado detention under sentence of death, but the British government is still refusing to demand his release – despite over 120,000 of us calling on them to act.
In a recent letter to Andy’s lawyers at Reprieve, UK Foreign Minister Grant Shapps claimed the government “take[s] every opportunity” to raise Andy’s case with the Ethiopian authorities.Tomorrow, at the UK-Ethiopia Trade and Investment Forum in London, he will have that opportunity, and we all have to make sure he takes it.
Can you take urgent action now to save my partner Andy?
Email Grant Shapps now
If Andy is to be brought home to his family, we need the UK Foreign Minister Grant Shapps to demand his immediate release. Tomorrow, the UK government is hosting a high-level trade event for Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister, and he will have the perfect opportunity.
16 months have now passed – too long for our children to be without a father. We are desperately worried about Andy’s safety, how he is being treated, and what his fate will be.
Please do share this campaign as widely as possible, by email and social media. The more people we have emailing Grant Shapps, the harder it will be for him to attendtomorrow’s trade forum without demanding Andy’s release.
Thank you so much for everything you have done to help our family – every bit of support helps strengthen our cause, and is much appreciated.
Yours,
Yemi
